"We had three days to imagine, shoot, and edit the video for "shifting forms." A unity of place with "change my name" and "dormant plants" brought us back to the same spot, in a pine forest up in the mountains. i wanted to convey how our perceptions change over time, depending on where we are and who we're with. i also wanted to use very DIY effects: simple morphing and lenses placed in front of the camera to play with the light and shift the focus. By the end of the second day, we still didn't have any footage we were happy with, because the colors were lacking due to the cloudy weather... until just before the sun slipped behind the mountains, giving us 15 minutes of perfect light to shoot all the scenes!"
