Nel settembre 2025, la band britannica ACRES ha pubblicato il seguito di “The Host” tramite la Solid State Records. L’edizione ampliata rappresentava la continuazione e il completamento dell’originale e aggiungeva tre nuovi brani, per un totale di 10.

Oggi, la band annuncia l’edizione deluxe di “The Host”, il che significa ancora PIÙ nuova musica. L’uscita è prevista per il 6 novembre e include cover, remix, brani dal vivo e altro materiale.

“The Host” (Deluxe) riunisce l’album completo e l’EP “What It’s Like to Feel Worthless”. Include una cover di “Buried Alive By Love” degli HIM; un remix di ‘Bloodlust’; una versione acustica di “Staring at the Sun”; e versioni live di “Not So Different” e “Built To Bleed”.

"The Host has always felt closely connected to the What It's Like to Feel Worthless EP, so doing a deluxe version felt like the perfect way to bring those two worlds together and close out this era of the band - afferma Ben Lumber - We loved the idea of putting everything into one record, but also giving people something new with the additional tracks and different versions of songs. We've always been into reworking our music whether that's stripping a song back, a live version, or letting it exist in a completely different way. As music fans ourselves, we've always loved when bands give you another side of a record you already know, so it felt right to do that with The Host. When we were planning a cover, HIM were instantly the first band that came to mind. They've been such a huge part of my life and honestly one of the main reasons I ever wanted to be in a band. When I was younger, my friends and I would spend hours in the garage learning and playing HIM songs so getting to bring 'Buried Alive By Love' into the world of Acres all these years later feels like a proper full circle moment. It's our way of paying respect to a band that had a massive part in shaping who I am as a musician."
